ROCKETOWN TO HOST �COMEDY FOR A CAUSE� FUNDRAISER OCT. 9

Guests to Include Entertainers Henry Cho and Jeff Allen; Proceeds Benefit At-Risk Youth

(Nashville, Tenn.) July 13, 2012-Nashville-based youth outreach facility Rocketown will host "Comedy for a Cause," a casual and uproarishly funny night benefitting local at-risk youth, on Oct. 9 at 7:00 pm. The event, chaired by comedian Jeff Foxworthy and wife Gregg, will include performances by comics Jeff Allen and Henry Cho.

In addition to being a popular concert venue, skatepark and skateshop, Rocketown serves at-risk youth via its afterschool program, which offers culturally relevant arts, sports and entertainment activities. The goal is to help young people ages 9-18 discover their passions, develop their skills and give back to their community. The program is supported, in part, by the annual fundraiser and revenue from concerts, skatepark and facility rentals.

Jeff Foxworthy, who performed at last year's Rocketown fundraiser and will act as honorary chair for "Comedy for a Cause," comments: "I do a lot of events for charitable causes� a lot of events. Without a doubt the one that touched me the most this past year was Rocketown. The love and acceptance that was present there was humbling to the point of tears. I lead a Bible study for homeless men in Atlanta. I have wondered how many could have avoided the years of addiction and pain they endured if there had been a Rocketown for them when they were younger? Most people talk about wanting to make a difference in the world. I can think of no better place than Rocketown."

Tickets for "Comedy for a Cause" are available as individual seats for $250 or tables of 10 for $2500.
